Victory from dryness. Victory from the aging effects of the sun. Our
VICTORY Moisturizer with SPF 15 was developed by PGS expressly for a
man's face. Not only is it a daily moisturizer, this feather-light
lotion contains a very gentle form of titanium dioxide-based sun
protection. Lightly scented with with tea tree oil and refreshing
menthol, VICTORY is 70% organic content and
formulated with the anti-aging properties of both DMAE and MSM. The
organic compound DMAE helps to tone and firm the skin, and is featured
in The Wrinkle Cure, the top-selling book by Dr. Nicholas
Perricone, M.D. Meanwhile, MSM is a naturally occuring nutrient found in
plants, fruits and vegetables that's credited with helping to eliminate
wrinkles, brown spots, skin tumors and spider veins. Victory, indeed.

A note about titanium dioxide:
Titanium dioxide is the subject of a new controversy. Is it safe or not? It is used in many products from paint to food to cosmetics. Some studies have shown that it is a carcinogen and photocatalyst, raising consumer fear. The MSDS states that titanium dioxide can cause some lung fibrosis at fifty times the nuisance dust, defined by the US Department of Labor as 15 mg/m cubed (OSHA) or 10 mg/m cubed (ACGIH Threshold Limit Value). The ACGIH states that titanium dioxide is "not classifiable as a human carcinogen".
Titanium dioxide is listed as a safe pigment, with no known adverse effects. It is not listed as a carcinogen, mutagen, teratogen, comedogen, toxin or as a trigger for contact dermatitis in any other safety regulatory publications beside the NIOSH (Antczak, 2001; Physical & Theoretical Chemical Laboratory, Oxford University respectively).
This doesn't end the debate. There is one form of titanium dioxide that is questionable and has been shown to be pathogenic or disease causing, which is ultrafine or nano particles (less than 0.1 microns or 100 nanometres). The reason is that it is easily absorbed into the skin. PGS and other skincare companies who are conscientious about the ingredients that they put in their products use course (10 microns) and fine (2.5 microns) forms of titanium dioxide, which has been deemed safe. This same form is used in organic sunscreen for babies and children.
We would like to say that sure, go out in the sun unprotected, and monitor your exposure (for example, an hour a day unprotected in the sun is healthy). The reality is that many of us are outdoors more often, and using titanium dioxide as a form of sunscreen is thus far the safest form of protection from too much exposure that leads to premature aging and skin cancer.
