It's flu season. And guess what, I just whipped up the most delicious flu remedy, actually totally by accident. After accidentally adding a little too much cayenne to my drink, I decided to google whether the ingredients that I used were good for the flu.

It turns out that I not only made myself a delicious, spicy, non-alcoholic cocktail, I also made myself one of the best, flu-fighting smoothies ever! This was exciting, but I truly believe that if we're in tune with ourselves, and our bodies, we're attracted to the foods and herbs that our bodies need. And so it goes that I've been craving turmeric smoothies.

On to the recipe:

1/2 banana
1/2 mango
1/2 cup pineapple
1 small orange
tsp turmeric
fresh ginger
dash cayenne pepper
squeeze lemon
tsp honey
1 cup ice

Directions:

If you're in a rush like me, add all ingredients at once to a blender (or better, a Vitamix) and blend until smooth & frosty.

Stick a straw in it & enjoy.
